  • , if it worked properly it would probably be a good learning tool
  • YOU NEVER STOP LEARNING IF YOU'RE ANY GOODI think Rockmaster is an excellent tool in today's digital age with the average cost of guitar lessons ranging from $25-$50 or more
  • If you are learning to play the bass or guitar this is an amazing tool.
  • No, it doesn't replace lessons and understanding of music theory, but it's an awesome tool to help a beginner learn to play a real guitar and actually enjoy it.
  • It is a great tool for learning songs, chords, and other lessons outside of music theory and creating your own songs

Reviews around thing (5.00 of 5)

  • Important thing to know about this game: you need a guitar with a 1/4" output jack to play this game
  • Maybe things will get better with future patches, but right now the PC version works better for me--and it too has its issues.
  • BUT, it's a great intro, teaching you important things like chords, how to hold a guitar, and get you motivated by providing a huge library of GOOD songs to use
  • Maybe things will get better with future patches, but right now the PC version works better for me--and it too has its issues.
  • Another good thing is that they are still creating new DLC, although at $3 a song, it can get a little pricey.

Reviews around concept (5.00 of 5)

  • I love the concept, but the execution sucks, nothing really works right
  • I love the concept, but the execution sucks, nothing really works right
  • The game is a great concept, but there is a slight, less than a second delay from the time that you pluck the string to the time that the TV plays it, and that kind of ruined the game for me

Reviews around rock (5.00 of 5)

  • Beyond the tuning experience and some unclear instruction in a lesson or two, this program, well, "rocks
  • This game (which I call edutainment) is not like Rock Band or Guitar Hero since you are actually learning to play real rock guitar
  • This is really a pretty good guitar teaching method and not a fun party game, like Rock Band or Guitar Hero
  • The original songs are all very much rock-oriented (hence the name of the game), with a lot of classic rock, alternative and heavy metal (and not much punk, only a couple of tracks from Green Day and the Ramones)

Reviews around way (4.26 of 5)

  • Great way to learn guitar and adapts to your skill level if you already play guitar or bass
  • Me being the guitarist i am who has played for 10 years, this isn't a bad way to learn
  • this would be a very difficult way to start learning the guitar
  • This is a great way to learn guitar very fun and user friendly
  • A great way for anyone that has ever wanted learn to play the guitar to get started on the right track

Reviews around play (4.03 of 5)

  • Over all, I think it is cool, but does not work on Xbox as well as it could
  • But I just don't enjoy playing music with the sound of my notes coming out 0.5 - 1 second after I pluck the string
  • This game gives you the opportunity to build up to being able to play those songs and makes playing 10 times more fun.
  • The cables work great for the game as well as with amp sim apps on the PC.
  • Over all, I think it is cool, but does not work on Xbox as well as it could

Reviews around rocksmith (3.95 of 5)

  • I got Rocksmith for my son a few years ago, and he really enjoyed it, so I decided to get a copy for myself
  • Rocksmith should be disallowed from selling a clearly defective product
  • Most people want to learn to play the guitar because they have favorite songs they want to play, and I am really glad Rocksmith focuses on that
  • She's had some lessons (she's 10) and knows a few basics, which makes Rocksmith a good fit for her
  • However, once you figure out these things (visit the helpful Rocksmith subreddit for help) this game is one of the best practice tools for learning bass or guitar on the market

Reviews around player (3.95 of 5)

  • I am fairly busy with life, but I hope that with the simplicity of being able to learn on my XBOX, I will keep learning and one day be a decent amateur guitar player
  • The simplest levels are a great challenge for anyone who is a skilled player in that playing then doesn't create anything that sounds like the song
  • Over all, I think it is cool, but does not work on Xbox as well as it could
  • The cables work great for the game as well as with amp sim apps on the PC.

Reviews around guitar (3.89 of 5)

  • Also, the songs that come with the game are not really the top 40 ultimate guitar songs that everyone wants to learn
  • I've sat down with the game and my guitar (being a poor, YouTube taught beginner) and did find it engaging
  • there's no sorry of compelling advancement as there is in the"fake" guitar games
  • Overall: super fun game, especially if you feel silly playing fake guitar in Rock Band
  • This is a great way to learn guitar very fun and user friendly

Reviews around song (3.70 of 5)

  • I found that I had to activate the riff repeater and slow the song down to 50-80% before I could land the notes it was asking for
  • Not a ton of popular songs, but honestly will help you get better.
  • If you want to expand your song pack to get better songs, you have to buy them
  • The difficulty in the songs is dynamic, if you play good the song gets harder as you go, if you're struggling the song gets easier
  • It's easy to get discouraged when trying to learn your favorite songs

Reviews around lag issue (2.09 of 5)

  • Over all, I think it is cool, but does not work on Xbox as well as it could
  • Just as good as the original
  • Or you may be lucky, like I was, and not have any lag issues
  • I find that the PC version is much better in regards to audio lag issues.
  • The cables work great for the game as well as with amp sim apps on the PC.
