Update from previous Post below:I have received back my Rockville RW10CA 10" 800 Watts sub from the seller for repairs and they did replace the unit; it is now working just fine and is as loud as I like it to be.
I was looking for a good all around sound with my system but this unit will do that and more pending bass level and gain setup.
This unit hits so much smoother and deeper filling my truck with sound
The unit sound great and fits good under my rear set in my '05 Colorado crew cab.
If I got a defective unit that simply passed its tests prior to shipping to the vendor, then I'm ok with

And honestly, if you want to rock your windows out, for the price get two and then hang on, and you are stll under the price for a separate cheap sub, encloseure and amp

If you're looking to rattle your lug nuts off then look elsewhere
The best way that I found was to use blind nuts & a blind nut setting tool that I got here on Amazon

We wanted to truly make installation a breeze so we designed this unit with the user in mind from start to finish
We added high level inputs so you don't need a remote wire from your receiver to trigger the unit on and off
The smart circuit will sense that an audio signal is present and turn on your radio and a signal is present
When you turn off your music signal the amplifier built into this subwoofer system will automatically turn itself off
Using the high level input is also the fastest and easiest way to install an aftermarket amp subwoofer combination since you do not have to remove the receiver
You simply use the high level input and wire it to one of your speakers
Another thing we did to make installation a breeze is we put all the inputs and outputs on one side
