Rode DeadCat Accordion Accessory (DDCGO)
style:DeadCat GO Windshield
The Dead Cat GO is a furry wind cover for the VideoMic GO, designed for use in windy environments. Its artificial fur is specially designed so as to minimize wind noise while remaining acoustically transparent.
if you don't have the Rode mic this was designed for don't waste your money
I had spent all this money improving my video look, but sound was still making outside shoots sound amateurish.

Great for camera mounted mic scenarios when indoors, and when outdoors on days with gentle breezes.
Wind noise is eliminated in nearly all circumstances, probably not under gale force winds, but steady breezes are eliminated really well
In high winds or gentle breezes, the risk of getting any wind noise is virtually eliminated with these

I use this Dead -kitten on my H4N and it does a great job of eliminating wind noise.
Its a little difficult to put on, but it does a good job blocking out wind.
It does do an excellent job though of eliminating wind noise
A little over priced but does a great job with the wind
This wind killer does a great job.

RODE has always made great products with great sound quality
I thought the sound quality was halfway decent with the built in microphone on my Sony SLT-77
It really improves the sound quality in your recordings.
Also, coupled with Canon poor audio recording quality
The sound quality definitely improves a lot compared to un built micophones

Otherwise, the windscreen works as it should on my Zoom H4n recorder.
People seem confused as to how to put this on the mic based on several other reviews
Not much to say here but the product works as it should.
If you're planning to record outdoors with a Zoom H4N, you won't regret purchasing this windscreen.
It's worth purchasing and it's a must have for rode video mic owners.

Otherwise, the windscreen works as it should on my Zoom H4n recorder.
It's a little morbid calling this windscreen a dead kitten, but it works wonders on improving the sound quality in noisy situations
This Dead Kitten Windscreen might work if there's a breeze during a narration or interview.
This Rode "Dead Kitten" windscreen also fits and works on the Tascam DR-07MKII digital recorder, even with the built-in microphones in the "open" A-B position.
If you're planning to record outdoors with a Zoom H4N, you won't regret purchasing this windscreen.

This deadcat wind muff works great for videoing outdoors
This Rode Dead Kitten works great for reducing wind noise on my Zoom H2n
Got this little kitten for wind reduction, this in addition to the high pass filter works great at reducing low end noise
The Rode deadcat works extremely well for a $40 wind suppression system, and for that I am very impressed
This works really well in high winds, as well as one could hope for

I used this in difficult recording situations, and I've been pleased with the results.
Also, coupled with Canon poor audio recording quality
I put this deadcat on my mic all the time even at indoors and it still captures perfect sound recording
The sound recorded with this mic is actually useable, very useable to be precise.
The sound from the camera's mics inadvertently provided a good "no windscreen" reference recording.

I also did used this on parties with loud DJ's the mic alone does a really good
it seem like i was moving the mic around for a few seconds
i have a better mic coming soon but i used it on my cheap 3.5mm jack shotgun
I was traveling from one room to another and the mic got snagged on a curtain.
Eliminates handling noise and wind, even in 25 mph gusts! Most DSLR mics are barely usable, but this dinky mic makes great audio.

the audio in my videos is significantly better when I'm outside and I use this!
Simply fantastic! After a few video projects that were marred by poor audio, I knew I needed a wind muff for my outdoor jobs
Now i have the same image quality as the hxr nx30u but with better audio and for significantly less money.
It blocks out a brief breeze or 2 but beyond that you are going to have awful audio because this thing can't stop bigger gusts of wind

While the product arrived quickly and it was very well priced, it really wasn't meant for the Zoom recorder
My only complaint is that this product is a little on the expensive side, and you can definitely find other products on Amazon that offer nearly as good wind screening with much, much cheaper prices.
Overall, definitely worth the 'price of admission' to use this on nearly all recording sessions or occasions even if you're inside (because it can get rid of some background noise
I broke down and spent the money on this over priced dead cat.

Looks like a dead cat and silences background noise and wind noise to almost silence
Background noise was completely reduce resulting a very clear sound
Not much to say here but the product works as it should.

It is built very solid, a nice short (but not too short) cable to connect to your camera, great quality (even in noisy situations
I dont blame the product itself, this is just a industry type of accessory that only will help in not-so-critical situations.

Dead cat save my sound for my short film, it was a windy
A dead cat would certainly work better than this fake one.
Otherwise, the windscreen works as it should on my Zoom H4n recorder.
Not much to say here but the product works as it should.
I was a little disppointed when I opened the box and discovered that instead of genuine cat, it was made of a synthetic substance of some kind

It does not diminish sound signal no more than the Dead Kitten
I use this Dead -kitten on my H4N and it does a great job of eliminating wind noise.
First off, the Dead Kitten is BLACK, not the off white/grey/black seen here.
If it wasn't for this dead kitten my audio would of been unbearable
It is as good as the Dead Kitten, if not better, in terms of windscreening capability).

It also works well at protecting my microphone from wind noise.
Prevents wind noise and improves audio quality.
Was at the beach on a windy evening, no discernible wind noise
Does exactly what it is supposed to do, deaden wind noise.
IT does what it is supposed to do, by mitigating excessive wind noise.

The only bad thing was that the wind was blowing the "fur" down and you can just barely see it at the top of the video
This fuzzy "fur" windscreen fits over the RODE shotgun foam windscreen.
Imagine putting on a nylon sock (the kind you wear on your feet) that is made of fake, thin fur.
I gave it four stars because it shed so badly when I first used it, I had to vacuum my couch AND the windscreen to get all the loose fur out of it.
If you were making a more professional video that fur in the video could be a problem
