Rode NT-USB Versatile Studio-Quality USB Cardioid Condenser Microphone

    • It works surprisingly well in multiple conditions, but does pick up a bit on background noise (noticeable if you put the sound up, I could hear my neighbors talking on the highest sound setting(ouch))
    • however, this microphone is very sensitive which means for gaming and voice over recording it does pick up quite a bit of background noise
    • Coming from using a Yeti microphone, this mic has better vocal clarity and I've noticed a lot less background noise.
    • The amount of background noise that is there when you move the mic away from the audio source is immense
    • Let it be known however this mic is VERY powerful and will pick up the smallest sound (it can literally get the sound of you rubbing your fingers together lol ) so make sure to lower your gain setting via your computer if you have a lot of background noise going on in your recording station.
    • It’s clear, doesn’t pick up much background noise at all
    • It works well though I wish it was a little more sensitive and picked up less background noise
    • I hardly have to remove any background noise in post with an air conditioner in the same room
    • It has a problem with picking up background noise, and with no audio options in the settings and no software, you will have to find other means of noise canceling
    • however I still get some background noise which was to be expected but still a great microphone!
    • and you can use software like Isotope's RX5 or Adobe Audition to clean out any Background noise.
    • It's great at cutting out background noise all on its own
    • It is very sensitive, so it will pick up background noises and chatter, so be sure you are in a very quiet place when you record.
    • and it's still working as if I just took it out of the box
