I don't know if I should blame the microphone or Windows

I love this microphone

Don't take it the wrong way though, when I say "it's not the best microphone in the world" it's in comparison to the $2k+ microphones hehe, if you have had a headset microphone until now, this will be an insane upgrade

As a radio producer, I must be looking for ways to get great quality but within a modest budget, and this microphone does the trick

Again amazing microphone but clearly an oversight on the material they used for the mounting ring.

However, this is a great starter microphone for mid to high level quality recording.

At one point, it snapped and my microphone had a pretty bad fall.

After a few months the connection for my microphone would cut out from the cord moving around if I moved the microphone or if the cable was bumped

I think to keep the price down, Rode includes a very basic stand, but it really is not the right stand for this top-heavy microphone

however, this microphone is very sensitive which means for gaming and voice over recording it does pick up quite a bit of background noise

The microphone will stop working all of a sudden while recording

If your looking to lay down some vocals and cannot afford a studio quality microphone I would for sure choose this one.

It's a shame such an expensive microphone has crappy plastic parts that will force you to find various adapters to fight the microphone in place.

The blue light when its plugged in is subtle and nice unlike other tacky USB microphones

The microphone is great and looks great but the plastic that holds it is really fragile

I did eventually remember why I hate live recording, and understand why true recording studios spend so much money on the walls and floors; to my knowledge even the best microphone cannot make a living room sound like anything other than a living room, and mine has hardwood floors - plate echo hell for recording

I use this microphone on the RODE mic arm as well and the clip that secures it to the arm broke
