The price was so good, I really wanted to like it, unfortunately it wasn't great for our needs.
This microphone has a great sound do it, shock mount was exactly what I needed, and the price was unbeatable
For me, I found it very frustrating to go through vocal take after vocal take, modifying how I vocalize to avoid hard "p" and "t" sounds so there were no pops
I am a home recording studio artist and was looking for a good vocal microphone for a decent price.
The great thing is it delivers great quality for a good price
Excellent microphone , excellent sound , super recommended .

I would highly recommend this microphone package to any musician who is looking for an excellent multipurpose microphone!
Excellent microphone , excellent sound , super recommended .
I will change my review once my second one comes but my first microphone was faulty and didn't work
People just like the way their voices sound coming through this mic
I love it, i highly recommend it, and I hope it serves you as well as it has me
i learned that the hard way, i would mix on my regular computer speakers & it sounded like something on the
as hell!!(but worth it when you actually using it)you will feel that you use your money in good way..why your going to hesitate buying this for 200 somethingif in return:(your ALBUM OR GOOD MUSIC
i.e. Home Studio - There are ways to control that, like working closer to the mic and taking the trim/gain down.
I also have an SM7B, which is definitely fuller than the other condensers I mentioned, but also was a little murky and had a slower, less detailed sound
The mic sounds nice direct, but I typically run it through a good tube preamp and the sound is warm and pristine, with the only noise coming from the preamp
Before I removed the mixer, I didn't like the sound of my voice at all with the NT1A, sounded thin and fake
Very happy with the quality of the package as a whole and the sound I get out of this mic
and I get a great sound out of this for vocals as well as acoustic instruments.
I love it, i highly recommend it, and I hope it serves you as well as it has me

The vocal clarity and tone from this mic exceeded my expectations in every way possible.
The NT1A exceeds all my expectations and now I don't want to use anything else, except possibly one of the more expensive Rode mics lol.
Gets the job done, the sound is amazing, it eliminates background noise really well
I love it, i highly recommend it, and I hope it serves you as well as it has me
Other than being extremely sensitive to background noise, the audio quality was similar, which, believe me, is not a bad thing.
But still, if ur room is untreated, you should still expect some minimal background noises and another thing I also want to mention, is that this microphone could actually sound a bit harsh, flat and nasal to some people (because it sounds neutral like what u put in front of it) but if you know how to use an EQ, De-esser or mix properly you shouldn't have much problems
After working with a number of cheap mics for a while, and using Adobe Audition to clean up the background noise from the voiceover audio, I did a reasonable amount of research and settled on the Rode NT1-A as a) the quality of my voiceover audio was still lacking and b) the production time was not cost-effective
