Dead cat is almost too floofy and needs a trim for use with a GoPro especially on a wide frame shot

I recommend getting the dead cat to filter out excess noise.

I used the dead cat on the mic as soon as it arrived sitting in my room with the air conditioning on and recorded myself talking

However, if you do any filming in an outdoor environment it will amplify any wind noise UNLESS you use the included dead cat (the wind blocker thing), which is not very convenient.

If you add the "dead cat", the entire camera is blocked.

However, when I used it outdoor to record a video I still could hear the wind noise even though I used the dead cat.

It does pic up the noise of the wind generated by the fan, but with the "Dead Cat" on, you couldn't hear the wind from the ceiling

However (and maybe it's the one I received) but the absorbent makes the mic move a lot and with the dead cat, it hits against the actual camera making a lot of unwanted noise
