    • The +20db booster means that you can record directly to your camera without getting that terrible background noise that the in-camera amplifier creates (this is easily the best feature of this whole deal
    • However, when I plugged it into my Canon 60D, all it picked up was static noise

    • Unless you REALLY need to isolate your ambient noise, I would say the in-cam iPhone 7 mic is sufficient, and for interviews, I'd go ahead and shell out the cash for the Rode lav+ with extender cord.
