Older Ruku 3 using WiFi would get audio break up while streaming from amazon prime
Our 5-year-old 1080p "smart" TV was struggling just to provide a fuzzy, inconsistent stream from both Netflix and Amazon.
Great streaming device easy to use high quality picture
If you have a 4k TV, this is an amazing streaming device.
Local streaming, which, on my network is 10/100 with no surprise users eating bandwidth as it;s just me and my wife, is terrible no matter what client I use
Use with 10 yr old flat LED tv and with a new “smart” tv whose features were a pain to deal with
After 20 minutes of excruciating fun with Roku's offshore "read from the script" tech support, they finally issued an
Finally, another feature I like on ROKU better than on Fire TV is the remote
>BEST<< feature is a small upgrade available in the remote that allows use of headphones!
We have used the Roku HD, Amazon fire stick, chromecast, the junky "smart tv" features built into our current tv, ps4, ps3, and the Wii U for streaming in the past
Interface is slick and very fast; setup is relatively easy.
Finally it became too annoying to use and I just used the apps on my smart TV (poor selection of apps and slow interface but way less frustrating to use than the ROKU)
Now all rooms share one wonderful interface which is light-years ahead of those clunky BluRay streaming interfaces
Though, sometimes if I leave the TV and come back to it, the interface gets really strange on the TV
Previously, we used our BluRay players for streaming, so each TV had a different (crappy) user interface for each streaming service.
And I've been able to find at least some nominal replacements for the two missing channels using the Roku
while some channels play well with the roku not all and not youtube tv
Unfortunately, it doesn't do what I had hoped - allow me to find all the HD broadcasts available in my area, PLUS let get my local channels AND cast from my laptop streaming content not available on Roku - like MSNBC
Great product, easy set-up, easy streaming, great choice of free channels
We have no problem with audio sync on Amazon, Netflix, or any of the free channels
workingthe mobile app is so delayed that you can never get to where you want because you'll tap the buttons too many times thinking it's not
Android app or full siteConSpecific apps hang up sometimes
No worries about the remote, use the app on your phone for the same features as the Premiere plus remote
I also love the Roku app on my smart phone which some apps allow you to use for searching and faster input rather than the tedious clicking of one letter or number at at time using the remote.
The apps on my 4K Samsung TV are faster and more reliable at this point.
I can stream available 4K through Netflix, Amazon prime, you tube and a few more 4K streaming apps
and it streams real 4K on Netflix, and I love the headphone Jack in the remote control, althoughit runs through a lot of batteries if you use High quality headphones such as 50-OHM Sennheiser HD Headphones, but I still love using it.
There is a known issue for the new Roku players that still hasn't been resolved for 4K TV's
this is a know issue since it was released without a fix at this time.
I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a streamer that's 4K capable and with a very wide variety of apps available.
Great product (5 star) just a shame it doesn't support Australian content (-3 stars)

Have purchased the 4K yet but works as good as or better than the 3 on 1080p
Minus a star because the battery cover on the remote keeps falling off.
**knocking off another star!**-----I own 4 Roku 2XS (since 2013) and they've worked great up until Dec. 2016, when now watching a video via Amazon Prime or Youtube or SlingTV, they all now RE-BOOT within 60 minutes when they never had a problem prior to Dec 2016
It wasn't a matter of if it would freeze again but more of a matter of when
* Some apps (like Hulu) do not even show progress bars (you have to guess the ones you've seen if you watch out of order);* Remote control has no TV OFF button, so you always need to use your tv remote for that;* Integrated search doesn't really search on every app, and the voice search (for people that have ultra or old gen) is not as good as with Google and Apple.
Also, the 4K UHD channels would periodically freeze as though they were buffering
Have purchased the 4K yet but works as good as or better than the 3 on 1080p
I would like to upgrade my TV with a 4K Ultra 2080p as soon as I can afford.
Surprised that the headphones being plugged in, not projecting any sound, would deplete the batteries.
Using the private listening feature with the regular Roku remote tends to drain the batteries a lot quicker, which is completely understandable, so having that feature available on my smartphone is great, I wish my Roku 3 would allow me to do the same.
I would like to upgrade my TV with a 4K Ultra 2080p as soon as I can afford.
However, The remote will kill batteries withing 24 hours unless they are removed

Fast speed, no buffering, and easy to use interface.
This Roku is very fast compared to the older Roku 2.I use a wired connection and suffer only occasional buffering (probably due to internet congestion); the streaming of 4K work well with a gorgeous picture
This also meant that the Roku would suffer greatly, causing unreasonable buffering for shows I wanted to watch; sometimes they wouldn't play at all
Except for arriving in a brown box instead of a retail box, and having an annoying "B Stock" sticker on the back that was hard to get off, I have no complaints with the refurb unit
ABC/NBC/CW stream very well, with very limited interruption or excess buffering.
Roku customer service stalled on answering even the simplest email inquiries
customer service is useless and device is heading to the garbage.
Bonus: is the great, courteous customer service experience with Roku when needing assistance.
but i have never once made use of the one i put in at the outset.overall i do like this and would have given it five stars but for the one of the worst customer service experiences i've ever had
so i finally reached out to roku, omg what a horrible customer service experience
The NEW ROKU models are very capable of handling the basic Angry Birds Game
If the old Roku 2XS's can handle the Angry Birds game, certainly the new Roku Models can
's now brought over to my new ROKU models as well as some other games for free and for purchase, but my problem is the NEW ROKU MODELS are missing the ANGRY BIRDS GAME
maybe others out there can contact ROKU about bringing the Angry Birds Game back to the new ROKU models via email, twitter, or FB on this issue that would
Very frustrating because the past games I have purchased for my Roku 2XS's all show up on the new Roku Models, but not the Angry Birds Rio or Angry Birds Seasons.
Except for arriving in a brown box instead of a retail box, and having an annoying "B Stock" sticker on the back that was hard to get off, I have no complaints with the refurb unit
If your phone number is published somewhere, I am taking a Donald Trump
I almost sent it back because of them until one of them gave me the phone number for Roku which helped me.
Thought I should be able to return, but Amazon only offers phone number to call for help.
I tried to contact the Support Services phone # that Amazon provides but the phone number is not working
As of software update 7.5.1, build 4095 the audio sync problem is fixed on the Ultra
I owned the original Roku 1, the Roku 2, Roku 3, Roku Stick, and now this, the Roku Premiere+.There is a material audio sync problem
To those who have had sync problems with your unit, I'm sorry
Except for arriving in a brown box instead of a retail box, and having an annoying "B Stock" sticker on the back that was hard to get off, I have no complaints with the refurb unit
I really like the Roku Premiere+ (it replaced a Roku 3), and I'd give it 5 stars if it weren't for the audio sync problem that others have mentioned
