I have purchased several Firesticks and get access to all prime videos but was not asked to enter a credit card number in order to configure and use the Firestick, seems Roku would understand this but as long as people flippantly give out their personal data without resisting companies like Roku will get away with these kinds of practices

It performs as promised, but it will not work until you provide your credit card number first.
