When you go to activate it fails and tells you to call a phone number

A phone number popped up and I called

The phone number you would call if you pulled it from this website was fake and, again, had nothing to do with Roku.

Calling the phone number gets you a recording saying that they are not offering phone support

So they get all your data, phone number, email and so on

I went to roku.com to get their phone number for support, but it was country code +44 (UK), and international calls cost big $,

They had information on my Roku account ...email, phone number, other Roku products that I had

after initial setup, a phone number appears on screen telling you to call

However, it then prompted me to go to a website and input a code, which then gave me an error message and directed me to call a phone number

Upon calling this phone number, I was told that I would have to pay a fee of either $90 or $140 to unlock my Roku device.
