  • (like all the other controllers out there) but the lighter weight is a benefit if you actually use yours to make money
  • The jog wheel has a nice weighted feel

Reviews around stand (5.00 of 5)

  • It works great with Serato DJ (and the new Pro version) and it also works great as a stand alone mixer with turntables (this is how I use it)
  • The Drum machine function is separate from the turntables and can be used free standing without a computer
  • I was still having audio dropouts, like major dropouts…and when your audio cuts out, it desynchronizes your TR-S and anything you have running with it

Reviews around roland boutique (5.00 of 5)

  • It’s very well-built and complements almost all recent Roland boutique and Aira products, if not all

Reviews around drum (5.00 of 5)

  • I still have the original Roland Juno 106 keyboard, Roland TR 808 and TR 909 as well as my favorite Drum Machine, The Oberheim DMX

Reviews around speaker (5.00 of 5)

  • I always have been using an external soundcard to achieve the best audio, but I can rely on DJ-808 perfect audio (the better speakers you have, the better audio you hear)
  • I was still having audio dropouts, like major dropouts…and when your audio cuts out, it desynchronizes your TR-S and anything you have running with it

Reviews around sound (3.44 of 5)

  • Some classic sounds like the 808 Cowbell are missing but promised as an update
  • I know that Roland will be doing an update which will include classic sounds such as the 808 Cowbell
  • So you can use it as a mixer and play records on turntables, you can use it for digital and play Serato and you can also use the drum machine sounds in your set and also as a fall back if your computer crashes
  • I was still having audio dropouts, like major dropouts…and when your audio cuts out, it desynchronizes your TR-S and anything you have running with it

Reviews around machine (3.22 of 5)

  • One employee basically told me that if I were to disable throttling on a BIOS level, I could risk burning up my machine entirely
  • So then after seeing the results in a txt file, they send me instructions on how to disable CPU throttling, which is basically telling your machine to work at its maximum
  • I still have the original Roland Juno 106 keyboard, Roland TR 808 and TR 909 as well as my favorite Drum Machine, The Oberheim DMX

Reviews around pad (1.00 of 5)

  • While it sounds nice, the drum kits are impractical (the pads), the sequencing leaves much to be desired
  • If you intend to get this for finger drumming, trust me, the pads will be difficult
  • The pads are stiff, probably the stiffest out there on any controller
