Reviews around build (5.00 of 5)

  • It appears to be well-built, and I do not perceive any added noise or distortion
  • I have several other Rolls products, all well built & work great.
  • It's well built and solid

Reviews around amplifier (5.00 of 5)

  • If you have a nice quiet signal path and a good amplifier, it may not matter, but for me it was a minor issue with the noise from the computer in the signal path

Reviews around version (5.00 of 5)

  • I don't think that schematic is the correct version but it is dang close
  • It only makes sense Rolls wouldn't publish the correct version

Reviews around loss (5.00 of 5)

  • However, the signal loss is very significant.
  • There is a small loss in volume, but it's worth it to not need an extra power supply.

Reviews around channel (5.00 of 5)

  • First it started adding noise into the signal, and then the right channel fried and completely cut out, leaving the left
  • Soon after I got it, the right channel on input #2 cut out

Reviews around doe (5.00 of 5)

  • But the sound loss is large enough that it does not work well with anything that doesn't have its own power supply, which probably means headphones or little self-powered speakers
  • This mixer just does not handle audio well.

Reviews around computer (5.00 of 5)

  • I bought this mixer to connect a laptop, desktop, and tv all to one set of decent computer speakers
  • I have all of my keyboards plugged in as well as my computer for playing along with my favorite songs/rehearsing with recorded scores

Reviews around splitter (5.00 of 5)

  • Well, it's a fancy unpowered audio splitter and/or mixer

Reviews around device (3.61 of 5)

  • But it is a very useful device.
  • This is a passive device and it will absolutely produce lower sound than if you had a device hooked up directly to speakers.
  • I'm using this on my desk to mix 4 3.5mm devices - some devices that have really strong headphone outputs will be fine with this device (e.g my iPhone output was still good and loud).
  • However, if you are in a situation where you have 4 computers or other 1/8" outputs and want to connect to a single set of speakers, this is a great device.

Reviews around advertise (3.22 of 5)

  • It works as advertised, well made; disappointed, though by inability to cope with two low-output mics on my Go-Pro camera -- one for my car's exhaust, and one for people-chatter in the car
  • Works exactly as advertised.

  • If you have a nice quiet signal path and a good amplifier, it may not matter, but for me it was a minor issue with the noise from the computer in the signal path
  • note its passive not any amplification but the passive actually takes away signal.
  • However....using a signal with some juice behind it like speakers or a pre-amped microphone etc you will find it serves a purpose for the most part
