This is perfect for sous-vide cooking and is a great water container.
-
After just a few uses, ours has cracked on the bottom and now leaks water.
-
so my Anova doesn’t have to run constantly to keep the water warm
-
It flexes a little more when it is filled with hot water versus when it is filled with cold water for brining.
-
Works as intended holds hot water doesnt crack ect
-
You technically can’t use that one with a sous vide because the water inside the container will be too hot
-
Bought primarily for use with my new sous vide unit; adequate volume to cook even larger cuts of meat and most items you would par cook in a sous vide; holds up well to the hot water bath altho I WOULD NOT recommend trying to use it on the stove top
-
Holds water and doesn’t leak, what more can I say
-
Since the water stays clean in sous-vide cooking, I left my container with all the water in it for a month (covered) and then reused
-
I was a bit concerned about this thing getting disfigured due to very hot water, but it has help its shape and hasn't cracked
-
Unfortunately the containers are not designed to stay submerged in hot water for longer than 5-10 minutes
-
This really is the perfect water bath for sous vide cooking
-
Cracked under the weight of the water while being moved to dump the water
-
But not sure if BPA Plastic and very hot water is a good combination
-
I tried to use a plastic scraper and tons of soap and hot water
-
Happy as a clam...used for transporting cool water twice and sous vide one time and it has "webbing" that either started during one of the three
-
It flexes a little more when it is filled with hot water versus when it is filled with cold water for brining.
-
DOP NOT depend on hot water to remove the gummy after waste of the stickers, residue will only turn black when rubbed.
-
I can use a pot just as well as i can use this and get same results.
-
But it doesn't feel as durable as I would like
-
n’t feel the handles will break.
