They work as expected; it is easy to plug in the drive, since the cover just slide, and does not require screws

so I was going to destroy the two Hard Drives when my Son suggested that I get these Tool-free Enclosures and disassemble the Clickfree cases to remove the Mini-Hard drives because most likely they were still good, just not with the Clickfree interface

This has been a really good experience for I saved both Hard Drives with this Hard Drive Enclosure that really saved my day!The only initial problem is opening the case for the top almost seems glued on.

Just slide the hard drive case apart, slide the hard drive in and slide the case back together

A great enclosure for hard drives, not so much for SSDs.

I see how someone can break the tabs if they don't look first, and I see the argument that the rear foam pad makes it tight and angled when inserting a drive, but a thin knife blade let me compress the foam and get my drive in without worry

Despite repeated attempts I could not get the lid back on and in the process three of the cheap/flimsy plastic tabs broke.

Very easy to break tabs that hold the enclosure together if you are not careful.

The directions on opening the enclosure is rather difficult the first time so be careful not to break the tabs.

The reason I gave it a 4 star is the delicate locking tabs

It's also a bit quieter than my old enclosure and looks very well made

Was hoping for something that was a bit more sturdy feeling.

I like the look and the blue LED light but it is a bit cheap on construction and feels like the cover can be easily broken if not careful.

It was a small challenge to get a 2.5 inch laptop hard drive in the case, since I had to drop-and-push in one motion, but the hard drive worked flawlessly after the setup.

Files can't be copied on to my enclosed Hard Disk without interruptions

I purchased this hard disk drive to recover some lost files and nothing is sufficient enough to power it

Excellent, the hard disk is very secure, preventing it from moving

Works well for pin configirations that match; older disks have mismatched pins, so cannot work then.

Same disk works without a problem in a different non-Sabrent enclosure.

I consider this product's tool-free plastic enclosure an improvement over Sabrent's traditional aluminum enclosure

High quality packaging and item (though plastic) is just fine.

I wish the foam dense bumper was removable so you could put your drive in flat and just slide it in, then add the foam bumper to the back

the bumper at the bottom end of the enclosure made my ssd hard to install

On the opposite side of the SATA connector is a dense foam bumper that keeps the drive from sliding out of the SATA connection at the opposite end

Problem is the dense foam bumper is glued to the casing so when you install your hard drive you have to angle your hard drive into the case to connect to the SATA connection side

But it does do the job and it does protect the hard drive.
