This device works very well, exactly as advertised and with the optional AC line attached it powers all my USB devices instantly including my WD Passport drive which was not recognized by my previous non-powered hub
the on/off switches seem to be a bit annoying/unnecessary - I always end up pressing it accidentally when I try to plug in an USB device.
The hub works as advertised, and the switch feature is a real plus.
Arrived earlier than estimated delivery date and works as advertised
Works as advertised, though I haven't done any high bandwidth testing
The first HUB only worked on 3 ports - the 4th was faulty
This 4-port is actually plugged into my cheesy work PC, using an 18" USB 3.0 extension cable from the back of the PC so the unit can sit next to my VariDesk
I needed a self powered hub to add to my airport extreme, works very well and is really small too
This USB hub works great with my MacBook Pro that has USB 3.0... I would highly recommend it!
I'm really unclear what benefit the buttons provide, but the work
Blue lights to indicate which hub is active helps a lot, but the light is not intrusive at all to have in a darken room (bedroom).Been using this for over a month and have zero complaints.
So, at least on mine, the blue light bleeds onto the white plastic frame of the switch next to it.
The blue LED lights let you know at a glance which ports are turned on
The light came on but because the USB plugs would not go all the way in it didn't work
The blue LED lights are lovely and all the ports work!!
It works as it should, and I like the on and off buttons for each port.
Works as it says it does, a very useful usb hub for usb flash drives and external hard drives, with the added power from the plug in theses no worry of a power drop.

This could cause issues if it happened when you're in the middle of using something attached to that port.

One port was completely dead, did not light up or supply power
The buttons on this are pretty wobbly/loose and one of the ports won't even turn on, not sure if that's due to a bad button or bad port, but the LED won't turn on and it won't power my device
The first port didn't work: LED didn't illuminate and device didn't get power
Plug-and-play setup and USB 3.0 speed make it a great port to expand the available USB ports on your computer (my Lenovo had just 2, inexcusable, and this was a necessity).
I ordered this mainly for the Power Adaptor and switched ports which works very well, however USB 3.0 devices connected to it do not connect as USB 3.0
Very useful when attempting to recover data from a dying drive, or a failing thumb drive.
Furthermore, connecting to this hub has actually managed to damage one of my drives, nearly losing me all of my most important work data, which I was very lucky to be able to salvage.
Maybe the power supply was defective, maybe something else, but, not wanting to risk losing my data and/or the way-more-expensive HDs, I have decided to junk this hub.

In an extreme case, having some drives offline could save them from data loss caused by malware, or buggy software
