Original item was a dud, but I got a new one in the mail and it works as intended
Great little fix for an audio card failure in a laptop...not the best audio quality (nothing bad) but for something this cheap it works as intended and helped me solve a problem.
works for it's intended use motherboard sound went out used this instead works great

A little bulky (can block adjacent usb ports) but it works exactly as intended with 0 problems

My mic port wasn't working, this was the perfect solution
All one has to do is plug the USB adapter into an available USB 3.0 port, plug the microphone and or headset into the adapter, and then restart the computer
I disabled the original sound system then plugged this adapter into an available USB port and instantly had great sound coming out of our sound board
In my experience they make enough pressure to break the small components or bend them and at the end we get a useless USB port

This audio adapter does work, but I've found that one time I'll plug it into my computer and the sound will be unbearably loud, and the next time I put it in it'll be about a third the volume
Even initially, you notice that it Wiggles a lot in the USB port, which wouldn't really matter if it weren't for the fact that not only does it make it easier to break, but also it sometimes disconnects from the sound and microphone and must be unplugged and plugged back in

Well it works but sound quality is not as good as that delivered through headphone jack.

It work ok, generate a loud noise when not listen to any sound... kind like static
The speaker port makes static noise when I plugged my headphones into it
