I wish this great "new" artist continued success

Over the past two years, Sturgill Simpson has emerged as my favorite artist

I'm not a hardcode country fan but appreciate the more mainstream artists

I don't fault an artist for experimentation, but this album has alienated me

If you want to hear the same musical style over and over again form a great artist, go listen to George Strait

Great artists can make a clunker album, but this is NOT one of those.

Listeners who wanted a "country" album will be disappointed but a real artist dedicates himself to what is important to him instead of spewing out industry friendly crap music.

But the good artists these days are few and far between

It's just not a good effort from a superior artist, imo.

I really respect Sturgill as an artist and a risk taker, he could have been fine just pumping out the same sound, but he took a risk here and hit it out of the park

It is always a joy to find a new favorite artist, and while I have enjoyed his previous albums, this one will endure as a classic.

He is buy far the best artist in country music today and will be for centuries to come
