This mic turned out to be a great product and very useful
I was not able to give the product five stars since I haven't worked with the mic too much yet, but the little I have worked with it and played it back on my computer the quality is good.
This is totally an underestimated product, The quality from this little guy is amazing
This product is awesome, the sound quality is just great i would recommend this product to others
Overall good product for podcasting/youtube enthusiasts
This mic works great for recording vocals on my Mac using Garage Band.
On my (formerly) high-end desktop nothing has worked--those 'skype-type' headsets, with built-in mics, regardless of price, which work OK for telephone conversations, had so much static that it sounded as if someone were sending Morse code behind my reading
I am using this mic to publish podcasts for my classroom and this mic works great
The sound of of Mic y good works very well with my software
I love the design too, with its compact swivel base that functions as a clip - to clip to your monitor, a desk stand, and a carrying method - when you swivel the mic into its clip (which fits well into the included carrying case)
The build quality of the mic seems excellent, and the compact design is fantastic!
It's a shame because the design of the mic is very nice.
My personal preference from listening to many different podcasters and online reviews is for the AT2020 over the Yeti, but it is suposedly designed with a tighter cardioid pattern not ideal for my use.
Clever design allows you to clip the Samson Go Mic to a laptop monitor but not a regular LED monitor
It also comes with a semi-hard case that protects it well
A very nice case comes with the mic, which will fit in the palm of your hand (with room to spare)
It's also built pretty solid and comes with a nice little case.
Just because it's small doesn't mean you can abuse it, be careful with it; the case helps protect it while traveling, but you wouldn't want to throw it around, and be careful about knocking the microphone or blowing into it; it's not good for the microphone (or any microphone
Lightweight, compact, and comes in a nice and tidy case.
My uses for this mic include voip applications like skype, mumble, ventrillo, and others, as well as for blog posts and even amateur voice recording
I've found that using better shielded cable has helped (and attaching one of those little circular magnets to that as well) but the problem still somewhat persists sometimes
A thin/flexible USB-cable will mitigate the repositioning problem I mentioned (a thick/stiff cable makes it worse).
It uses standard Mini USB if you ever lose the cable, and it even has a hole to mount it to a microphone stand
A thin/flexible USB-cable will mitigate the repositioning problem I mentioned (a thick/stiff cable makes it worse).
Ball & socket connection is made of a fairly cheap plastic (Ball
No, I've got much better mics for that, but if I needed a better mic that what laptops have (all awful without exception) with an easier way to mount it than flimsy plastic stands, this is what I'd get.
I don't like the fact that the microphone body feels like cheap plastic.- Even with the -10db pad engaged, the mic will still peak out in loud environments
The base is not some flimsy plastic that won't stay put: it's a solid piece of metal that will serve to hold the thing whereever you want, just be careful the USB cord doesn't strain it
The microphone doesn't seem to pick up the background noise at all (eg
Also, comparing to other mics (like my Razer Blade built-in mic) works great not having background noise signal (natural background and silent) and capturing the sound of your voice and surroundings
The cardioid modes will help with noisy background noise.
Its audio monitoring was very clear for a mic this size and actually eliminated some (but defiantly not all) background noise
i even released my first song with this :) so happy to buy this :D
The only reason it's not 5 stars is because it's not utterly incredible in sound quality since without isolating the microphone, you get ambient room noise.
You can make presets for room noise and how much the mic will pic up
Ambient room noise is high, but it's a solid unit with good functions.
The only gotcha is since it's a condenser mic, it's susceptible to room noise; so if you have a noisy room it will affect your audio quality
This mic may be good for podcasting in quiet environments, but it picks up far too much room noise and noise from the surface it is sitting on to be useful for VoIP calls in the real world
