I haven't had any issues with background noise or anything else if you do just adjust settings.if your having issues with a whine or a feedback noise.. try moving the usb cable to another port (some cables don't do well next to each other causing a whining feedback noise to be heard)

Be warned to check your input and output volumes when using it, because it won't be automatically balanced, and you may run into some loud feedback
