Works as should, great price and free downloadable software to transfer files
Best SSD drive for performance and Migration / Management Software available at a reasonable price
With this SSD, you can completely save a dying or aging laptop at a really reasonable price
It seems to work great, but the software it comes with to clone the existing C:\ drive and migrate your data is garbage.
This is my third Samsung SSD, my main office PC is four years old and running an 840 EVO (128 GB) in the C drive, it boots very fast and never has it given any problems, my second office PC runs an 850 EVO (250GB) in the C drive, zero issues
Really great upgrade if you're still using an old spinning hard drive
good upgrade from other ssds and specially a hard drive.
SSD is the single best upgrade you can do for almost any system, imo
This is an unbelievable upgrade for an old netbook
, Installation was smooth (I cloned my old HDD with Carbon Copy Cloner) and followed all instructions to the letter, after maybe a month or so my system started to crash, had several rainbow disc failures, that usually were resolved by restarting the system (as annoying as that could
Put it in my old laptop and now it as fast as if I went and dropped $1000 on a new laptop
Very easy to install, very easy to copy data (including O/S) from the old HDD, been using it for a few months with no problems whatsoever.

I bought a 250GB 850 EVO in late 2015 and it's still running perfectly fast and smooth as if I had just installed it
The install and switch to SSD was so easy with data migration.

I did a fresh install, so no not need to clone an old drive
A merge of the OS from the old drive to the new SSD will not be anywhere near as fast as a fresh install, but it should still be an improvement in the day to day usage.
I even tried a fresh install but when it came time to reboot after loading all the files on the drive, the reboot failed
It seems to work great, but the software it comes with to clone the existing C:\ drive and migrate your data is garbage.
Again, I highly recommend them on functionality alone, speed is as expected for ssd style drives.
Everything worked as expected for 6 months, then the hardrive failed on me causing my MacBook to be useless

I have not compared them to other brand solid state drives
Samsung seems to be the leader in solid state hard drives

My Mac is way better than it used to be because of the solid state drive
I do not expect a solid state hard drive to fail after eight months
System is lying so far - much better booting times and no freezing and 100% loading upon reading from disk.
Seems you have to turn Secure Boot off in the BIOS before cloning or fresh install for it to work
after cloning it or doing a fresh install you can then turn secure boot back on
I always used a mechanical old fashioned hard drive, but because of this, I get insane boot times and reinstalling windows wasn't too hard, (only took like 2 hours for
I'm getting ridiculously fast boot times in Windows 10.

Now if Samsung doesn't honor the 5 year warranty then a couple stars may come
I bought a 250GB 850 EVO in late 2015 and it's still running perfectly fast and smooth as if I had just installed it
However I knocked off a star due to the fact that I actually had to return the first drive they sent me
The three missing stars are not for the drive, but for the registration process, or lack thereof
It seems to work great, but the software it comes with to clone the existing C:\ drive and migrate your data is garbage.
Highly recommend Samsung SSD’s to anyone looking to speed up their computer
This indicates that this device has already bad sectors and that it is dying, sadly
I'm assuming that's when it was encountering bad sectors on the old drive.
