After installation computer works as before only much faster.
Easy installation, perfect fitment, and highly recommended upgrade.
After installation computer works as before only much faster.
Purchased a new laptop that came with a 1T hard drive but a bit slow for my taste
Although I can read it, when I try to use as primary disk on MAC and try to format it for first installation, it can not unmount the unit then the installation fails
My early 2011 MacBook Pro was on its last leg as far as speed was concerned.
Solved the constant annoying disk 100 error i had, and definitively, the speed is incomparable; video editing, gaming, and boot time are examples that take advantage of this.
I'm was about to give my old gaming laptop due to slow speed but this SSD made it better then new.
Good speed, os boot reading as fast as 4000mbs with turbo on, great value
Speed is great, lasting a very long time with constant gaming / software development abuse.
The software and UI available with this SSD are hard to beat and you are paying extra for a reason
Samsung software did not work to image my Western Digital drive
I had a spinning DVD inside that I just booted their dumb software from, so I can't just flip it up-side-down to take the SSD out without shattering my DVD drive
Installation was easy and the software to transfer data to the drive worked perfectly
TX hard drive enclosure and the free, awesome SuperDuper software), which took several hours
Once installed, she was raving about how much faster the computer was compared to the hard disk drive.
I tried to create a simple volume with Windows, but was told there wasn't enough disk space (a common occurrence)
Go to Disk/Properties/Tools/Optimize and poof, the disk would start working again.
Used this to replace the old hard disk drive in my computer
All in all, I would say if you are looking for a sure way to speed up an old computer running on a hard disk drive, this is definitely a worthy investment to make.
I love my Toshiba S55-B5280 laptop again! My laptop was VERY sluggish with its factory 1TB 5400 RPM Toshiba drive
I bought this SSD to upgrade my Windows 10 laptop from a 5400 rpm hard drive to an SSD
My guess is that any older Mac or PC that has one of those slow 5400 RPM platter HDs will see a significant speedup if replaced with solid state drive such as this one.
Replaced my slow 5400 RPM HDD with this and my Acer Spin 3 is off to the races

Popped in this bad boy (had to go to the computer store and buy a mounting rack, was 4 dollars), installed Windows on it, and the old drive is just for storage now
3 years later and this bad boy keeps my laptop (mac 2011 version) running hella fast
Migrated my OS over to this bad boy using the migration tool that comes with the drive
