Samsung 860 EVO 1TB mSATA Internal SSD (MZ-M6E1T0BW)
Capacity:1 TB
Samsung 860 EVO solid state drive is the SSD to trust. Based on 3D VNAND flash, Samsung offers enhanced read/write performance, endurance and power management efficiency. With multiple form factors, the 860 EVO is ideal for mainstream...
Of course, now there is the faster NVMe technology found on newer motherboards, but if you have an older one like mine, this is a great product, especially if you're still using a traditional hard drive for booting the operating system.
the product is great, and I would by again form the seller!!
Slid right into an Acer Aspire S7 and worked as it is supposed to.
The install was really easy and simple, It just snaps in place not much effort or force
The only downside is that the instructions to boot from a flashdrive to a clean install are not available
After installing the mSata, startup times are reduced by 75%, Windows Explorer pops, Microsoft Office purrs and I have even been surprised by the speed gain in applications and internet access (Edge).Installation was a breeze and greatly facilitated by YouTube instructional videos on mSata installs in the XPS 8500.
but you needn't worry as it's right around its stated maximum speeds out of the box

I paired this mSATA solid state drive with an Ableconn IIDE-MSAT

SSD to 2.5-Inch IDEadapter to convert my new-to-me Agilent 54832D Windows XP scope to use an SSD.For reasons of personal preference; I did not want to use the cheap "off brand" PATA SSDs available here on Amazon and wanted to go with a modern mSATA drive
With a little work on OS configuration I was able to leverage 2 concurrent SSD disks to dramatically improve performance... without needing the size of a 2nd drive bay

I also toggled Rapid to be on inside Samsung Magician because along with AHCI it’s supposed to give the fastest performance
but you needn't worry as it's right around its stated maximum speeds out of the box
Not a big mSATA fan but can't skip any option to increase capacity or improve performance :

it is great replacement for the original SSD that comes with it.
The guy at Best Buy said it would cost $450 to do all of that with the preferred hardware replacement from HP, but getting this larger mSATA SSD was cheaper than the replacement 128GB SSD

not much more i could ask for... good upgrade for my laptop
One of the best upgrades I have made to my Lenovo T420 laptop

The Dell XPS which originally came with Windows 8 and later upgraded to Windows 10 was running slow whenever the PC went looking for files on the old hard disk drive.
Getting a smaller albeit less expensive SSD drive requires quite a bit of manual effort to move Windows to the SSD while keeping Windows data file libraries on a regular hard disk drive.
The Dell XPS which originally came with Windows 8 and later upgraded to Windows 10 was running slow whenever the PC went looking for files on the old hard disk drive.
I now have a complete drive image backup on the H: hard disk drive and plan on using EaseUS to transfer the complete partition/image from the C
After partition cleanup on the C: hard disk drive, I had a clean 1TB partition.
