FYIThe Classic S2 in Rose Gold does not work with Verizon
Here's my experience so far-I started with the s2 classic, which died under washing the dishes
Before buying this expensive piece of junk, search "Gear S2 strap breaking" and you will see that it is a very common problem.
The leather strap was beginning to lose its whiteness and she ordered a replacement V-Moro Accessories Silicone Bands For Samsung Galaxy Gear S2 Classic Smart

My suggestion to you all is, if you must buy this watch, get it from Best Buy with a 2 year warranty and make them replace it every year when the battery starts to die as it will.
Only down side is that as others have mentioned the apps are limited as of now
This SAMSUNG GEAR S2 SMARTWATCH (Dark Gray) is an interesting gadget, and works as advertised.
If you are looking at getting a great smartwatch for your android phone I highly recommend this smart watch.
Plain and simple S Health sucks!!A smartwatch with basic fitness app, Gear S2 is fabulous looking and awesome
The only downside to this smartwatch is that the battery drains so quickly
You can set as many notifications as you'd like from your phone (which I do), but you can't access them directly on the watch
Works exactly as I want it to, except doesn't have a Starbucks app which the Fitbit ionic and versa do

it doesnt die in one day but the battery drains to the point where i have to charge it just about every night so that it can last me the second day as well without dying halfway through the day.
They argued that it is not a manufacturing defect and I must have done something to it to damage it

I sent it to the Samsung and they were unable to repair the watch or honor the warranty as they did not have the parts or the software to fix it.

Less then a day my band broke making it a pocket watch till I ordered a new after market band
Great device, the platform just is lacking app support.
I have now decided that since Samsung has such an unreliable and irresponsible support system then I cannot trust them with my regular credit card information and will instead purchase a gift card to add to my Samsung account so that my exposure to their incompetence is limited.
You could end up with an unusable device and Samsung support will not assist with the unlock.
Samsung has no other support for it, so in otherwords a waste of 300dollars.
Their technical support gave me things to try but nothing worked
Bands broke the first month, not worth the price, customer service is terrible
It's been 4 months, working great!
If I have to keep buying new bands every other month its not worth the hassle
When the connection to the watch bands broke less than 4 months into wearing it, I called in to Samsung as directed by Amazon/Third-party vendor to get it fixed
One month into wearing it, the small band ripped at the hinges
I have to say I really like this watch, it performs exactly as I expected, it links to my
Bands broke the first month, not worth the price, customer service is terrible
In addition to the difficulties, I find Samsung customer service to be completely abysmal.
I spent 3 weeks and multiple hours (~7 hrs) dealing with the impossible customer service depart in Samsung only to find out by a member of the executive customer service department that once it is deemed BER for corrosion they will NEVER do anything about it!!
Samsung's proprietary O/S gets you nothing but battery life maybe which has shrunk from 2 full days to 1 3/4 in 4 months
I did a hard reset a few days ago and it seems to have fixed it
I did try a hard reset the watch to take it back to the factory setting.
After multiple power-offs, reboots, re-pairing and a desperate factory reset, I am now left with the loss of even the limited functionality I once had, I've no ability to do anything except get the S2 into emergency mode for 911 service
Had high expectations for the gear classic unfortunately it would not count steps contacted Samsung about problem reset watch numerous times and took it to their technical at Best Buy said it was a hardware
I already made a hard reset and it continues with the same problem
