I was told by Verizon once I received the watch to contact Verizon sales for them to assign the watch a seperate phone number.
-
at least 2 or 3 different versions of the Gear S2.Mine is the standalone capable model with its own phone number
-
$350 at AT&T store with Sim card which means its own phone number
-
Apparently the watch interfaces with the cellular system, so you need to buy another phone number.
-
Also, this watch has phone number and I will loose my phone couple of weeks.

Dislike proprietary O/S as lack of apps and you have to stick with stock/samsung apps to get all the features.
-
Samsung's proprietary O/S gets you nothing but battery life maybe which has shrunk from 2 full days to 1 3/4 in 4 months
