Just to see if the device was consistent, I tried writing a single, 6GB HD movie over to it and the results were the same as copying all of my flac music files

At around $35 for 128GB, this is a great deal on a very portable, fast, cross-platform storage device
I am simply shocked at how fast this device transferred from my laptop all those photos.

The build construction is what I expected from Samsung, tight and firm plastic for the case, the plug is just as strong as a good usb cable connector, doesn't bend easily so feels quite sturdy and gives a nice feedback when plugged
Could use a cap to protect the connector while not in use.

The drive itself is well made and not flimsy as you can find with a lot of flash drives today
That is my issue and your issue and not the size issue as if you are the one that is getting
You could use it like a standard flash drive, moving data back and forth between devices, but honestly the small size and fast transfer speed (300 mbps) makes it ideal for permanent expansion
Using the newest USB 3.1 protocol gives you the fastest theoretical transfer speeds next to an actual SSD without the high price or cumbersome installation issues

I have lost smaller drives very often and this slightly larger size seems just right for me
The bulky size can make it hard to use multiple usb ports on some laptops or other devices with crowded ports
These are amazing compared to the my USB 3.0 drives that barely cracked 100 MB/s read and 10 MB/s write speeds

Being wider than most other thumb drives means that you may have a problem squeezing it into an available USB socket on tight computer installations
The Samsung FIT Plus drive is a fast USB 3.1 drive with data read speeds nearing 300 MB/s and write speeds close to 50 MB/s
Neither drive lasted more than 10 minutes before data corruption is detected
I use thumb drives to reload windows on commercial products, I love my little thumb drive.
I am disappointed that Samsung would put out such a slow writing drive - they are the Gold Standard for SSD drives but only 25MB write on USB 3.1 is poor.

Reminds me of solid state hard drive level of performance.
