I burn DVDs all day long, everyday

I played about three hundred DVDs and few dozen CDs on it and burned maybe three dozen discs then it just died

I have burned some data CDs and DVDs and they worked fine when I used them in other drives ( They did not become coasters!)

I very rarely burn DVDs but am now playing a purchased movie DVD, it is fine.

The burner in my Macbook refuses to burn DVDs now, and suddenly the burner in my Windows desktop also died.

In using it I can play DVDs and I can burn DVDs with it

Main points:Plays and burns CDs and DVDs (not Blu-ray)

Plays/burns dual-layer DVDs and M-discs

I tried to burn some CDs and DVDs with no success.

I tried three DVDs, and it doesn't work

The new ones can burn M-discs (archival quality DVDs)

but DVDs are slow and choppy.

I haven't tried to burn CD/DVDs under USB power only

I have not tried to burn DVDs
