Intuitive controls, small footprint, sounds fabulous

We like the Sangean RCR-22 atomic clock radio we bought from Amazon a while ago, despite its somewhat funky controls

Reception is excellent in my area, the manual is very clear and the controls very intuitive

There is a lockout switch on the back that disables the front controls.

This is a nice radio EXCEPT because the silly volume control...from level 0 (mute) to level 1 = too loud to listen in a quiet

The controls, not unlike those on a Sangean table radio I have, work well but are not the most intuitive if you use the alarm (which I do not)

I think the tuning and volume buttons should be switched: I would prefer the vertical up & down buttons control the volume instead of tuning.

Ease of use: Very straightforward control panel (although I still have to get used to the sleep timer - you change the time by holding the power button, as opposed to other units either having one fixed sleep time or changing the time by pressing a button more than once).

Great sound and the controls work very well

I have considered retuning it several times because its alarm and a/c are losers; keeping it because the digital radio tunes in one local station (WDNA 88.9 FM jazz) that usually is lost because of crowded, dirty bandwidth.

Not a C Crane model at double the price, but adequate
