Sangean RCR-10 FM-RDS (RBDS) / AM / Aux-in Digital Tuning Atomic Clock Radio Compatible with 30 Pin iPod or iPhone (White) WITH FREE BLUETOOTH MUSIC RECEIVER

    • They sound great, display well, and are easy to use and set
    • Last month the display on the radio went bad (just displayed random characters) although the radio continued to play
    • To make this clock radio *perfect* in the next revision, Sangean should make the front less sloped and replace the backlit LCD display with a traditional segmented LED display in green (the color to which our eyes are most sensitive).
    • The display is bright at full power but with 7 dimmer adjustments you are able to get just the light from the display that you want
    • The only downside of this device, and others have already mentioned it, is the display is ridiculously bright!
    • The main complaint is the display
    • But the brighter display levels do produce considerably more light than a standard clock radio display.
    • I wish they made an affordable clock radio with a large enough digital display
    • The only complaints I have so far are that the reception of the time signal could be stronger - other atomic clocks I own pick up the signal much better in the same position in the house, a great LED display would be a huge improvement (other complaints about the LCD are valid), and the remote control is completely useless (I have to point it directly at the clock from less than two feet away for it to work).
    • I would have much preferred a red display, which is easy to read in the dark, yet not so bright it illuminates the whole room
    • The bad:Arrived with a problematic LCD display (either the display or its electronics chip was defective). The display has very narrow vertical viewing angle; it
    • I would not use this as a primary means to listen to music.-The display is nice and legible.
    • First unit was defective; display has a design issue.
    • Likes: large display and scrolling song titles, great sound, very easy to use except for some minor issues (later), perfect size for bedside table, Atomic (self setting) clock
    • It started beeping in middle of night, display going crazy then died completely .
    • 2) Great display with large, clear numbers that are easy to read from across the room (or without your glasses)
    • Unfortunately the LED display is a bit hard to read
    • The display would die, and I would have to reboot the clock by unplugging it, taking out the batteries and reinserting them, and then trying to reset the clock without the menu button working
    • I'm giving the RCR-10 2 stars only because it has decent sound and a large display.
    • FM/AM radio; bass/treble adjustments; great sound; easy iPod docking; easy to use [unlike experience of another reviewer], nice displays, easy controls.
    • I like the the date and time display, that is an added feature.
    • I can understand that placement is an issue for some, because trying to see the display from eye level or lower is an issue
    • As the unit resides on the counter, seeing the display is not an issue
    • This makes the display easy to read on a nightstand, but due to the limited viewing angle of the LCD, the display will be impossible to read from your bed if you put the unit up on a high dresser or bookshelf.
    • I definitely don't like the blue display w/ blue backlight (the pictures in the item listing don't accurately portray the backlight, but believe me, it's
    • I wanted a dual alarm with a nice display, but I also wanted something with good sound quality.
    • My only con, and this is minor, is that even on the lowest setting, the display appears bright in a dark room
    • I also see no problem viewing the LED display from across my room at all
    • The display went haywire, then the whole thing stopped working
    • Update after testing the radio for a few more days:Another big issue I found was the display
    • The Led display shows the date and day in addition to the time
    • Also, it is hard to read the display when I am lying in bed.
    • I lost the display
    • The display can be changed from bright to dark, but the lightest setting practically washes out the number display, which is not
    • The display then resumed to work properly
    • I would much prefer an LED display.
    • Biggest compliant was the display would not dim sufficiently to not be annoying even at the lowest setting which is a problem if you like the room dark
    • I like the date being displayed and the ICONs for the alarms are clear, and easy to tell at a glance which one is on.
    • I was hoping for brighter and clearer sound as well as a display visible enough for the myopic
    • The Good:-The display is nice and I don't have any of the off axis viewing problems that others have complained about.
    • I also see no problem viewing the LED display from across my room at all
    • The one I bought is as good as
    • and the battery drained four times as fast as when I charge it using the normal iPhone charger (my usage is consistent for both tests).
    • I keep the manual handy as it isn't always intuitive how everything works but is not difficult once I look up how to do things.
