This is a great value for a portable Wifi Internet radio

For a very reasonable price, this is an incredibly fine Internet radio

Nice internet radio with FM only backup when power or internet is down

An Internet radio without the ability to get all the AM / FM radio stations I want over the internet kind of misses the entire point.

If you are looking for a "portable" internet radio you will not find many offerings.

Finding and setting my favorites was much easier using the android app than it was using the Frontier web page.

I love the Android App, so you can control everything in the radio from your mobile phone, if it is connected to the same Wifi network

I like the web site put all my favorites in about 100 stations and operate off the free app

The app is highly recommended to simplify browsing through the many stations and USB music

Just like the Mondo, the app is awful

The opportunity to access FM and Spotify are nice features

This is another nice feature of this very well made radio.

One feature the other radios have is ability to set 5 different alarms, this one only has one alarm

Meanwhile, I needed something a bit more “portable” for our remotes when we're in “iffy” signal areas for FM without using a smartphone, and hoped to find a radio with good sound and nice features.

When you dont have a free wifi network in foreign country you can listen fm local radio

Sangean told me that you have to buy their more expensive WiFi radio to get that feature

I would guess that most problems regarding this radio that are mentioned in the reviews are due to bad wifi signal because when reception is good, the radio absolutely streams with no interruption.

If you have a non-optimal WiFi set up, as I do, this is literally THE ONLY RADIO to get

It appears to be well built (though the batteries are hard to put in), the FM works well, and operation is about as intuitive as internet radio gets

I like its reception, audio is good for my purposes (a bedside nighttime radio) and menus are easy to work

so if your smartphone has good reception at a specific location, this radio will probably work

This is a excellent product very high quality, excellent sound and well thought out

I can now see why people who purchase this radio (according to Amazon) also order the rather costly D size rechargeable batteries

I am not disappointed in the slightest and would recommend it to anyone looking for a user-friendly quality product

I liked this radio, and thought it was a pretty good product, but ultimately returned it because I couldn't find a use for it

Of course, sound quality will vary with individual streams: one feature of the radio is that it will display the bit-rate of streams; it is usually obvious that the lower bit-rate streams have poorer audio quality

Not so good: sound quality is iffy because of one mediocre speaker, its not bassy and does not have any highs

For me however, I had to return it based on the poor sound quality alone.

If you have used the free Pandora service you know what a pain that is with the time outs and poor quality audio streams

I'm looking for a tabletop Internet radio, and an FM, CD player combination with good sound quality

The user has to become accustomed to a "boot-up" period of 30-60 seconds when the radio is turned on and a connection time delay as stations are changed

She loves it so now she can listen to all her favorite stations.

Our favorite stations are weak and interference from LED lights made a WiFi radio a solution

Also connecting to Frontier Silicon Radio Portal and adding favorite stations is fantastic.

Some stations have buffering problems a lot, some just once in awhile and the radio does try to re-connect.
