Sanus BF24B 24 Inch Speaker Stands (Pair)

    • The place I found a problem was when screwed to the bottom plate (step one), the upright pieces were not perfectly parallel, but kind of twisted a bit
    • I loosened the bottom screws, gently forced the uprights into correct position, tightened the top screws and bottom screws gently in rotation while holding the assembly in correct orientation against its "natural desire" to twist a bit
    • While bottom carpet spikes were a bit difficult to attach, the unit appears sound and sturdy.
    • they do the job just fine, although I think that the manufacturer's maximum 20lb weight rating might be a bit optimistic
    • The wire has a tendency to be visible through the gap at the front sometimes, but again not a problem you just pull on it a bit at the back until it recedes back into the shadows
    • The height works well with my entertainment center and perfect size for my speaker only downside is the base isn't totally even which makes it wobble a bit
    • On one of them, the wood split a little bit when I screwed it together, but it is not too noticable.
    • The cable management system is a joke and the black paint rubs off on your hands a bit, almost like a powder, but they're solid and level.
    • Stands were fairly easy to assemble, though the prongs that were included for use on carpet were a bit difficult to install without very clear direction on how to insert them.
    • The finish, however, seems pretty durable and did not scrtach or chip during shipping, handling or assembly and makes the piece look a bit more expensive and substantial than it actually is
    • The wood did split just a bit, even though I hardly tightened them at all
