The stands are made out of a cheap particle board so don't over-tighten the screws or the wood will strip out.

The vertical "wood" pieces are flimsy particle board.

Once placed, speakers seem to be stable enough, but I would imagine if one of these got knocked over it would crack the weak pressed board

Not high end, be careful when putting in the plastic feet, maybe use a pair of pliers to make sure it goes in straight, or it can break the particle board.

These foot the bill price was great construction is fine please be carefully when screwing in the top plate and the base make sure you take care to screw the screws in straight and don't over tighten as it may crack

well as the primary stands on view for our home theater system

My speakers are about 14" H x 7" W x 9" D, and they work great.
