I liked the size since it's not imposing - it's not meant to be a statement piece
It is the perfect size for a small room and what I needed it to hold: an old 20in tube TV, DVD player/receiver combo, VHS player, PS2, NES, SNES, N64 and GameCube
The corner entertainment center is perfect size for the place I needed it for.
Put together in about an hour and was the perfect size for our needs
I love the size, it fits perfectly where I need it and allows me to still have an "office" space that's contained in my living room
I was worried it would be a light oak like most oak veneers on the market, but It is actually a darker color like the picture which gives it a classier appearance.
Color is rich and looks great with 50" diag flat screen
One star deducted for the following reasons: The color is MUCH darker than pictured in the listing, but as stated above, it will match other Sauder pieces with the Abbey Oak finish
It's a solid piece of furniture for the price and the stained wood is a nice color
It is a nice color and matches other Sauder pieces with the Abbey Oak finish
Hardware was good..easy to assemble all pre holes lined up perfectly..good price for quality
we moved and had to go to a smaller desk/computer, and this desk worked great..good price and smart looking
We shopped and shopped for an inexpensive solution to an issue we were having but the prices were so steep for a functional, inexpensive and good looking piece of furniture
Some of the pieces could have been finished off a little better in terms of sanding and application of stain, but overall a great deal for the relatively inexpensive price.
For the price, this was not very good quality and it was much smaller than expected
The Wood used in it is of very good quality, resistant to scratches and doesn't chip upon assembly errors such as the slip of a screwdriver or a nail.(ii
It is understated, fits well into our space and is good quality for the price!
and I was thinking that the sheer weight of the package must surely be an indication of a product that exceeded the stand that it was replacing
We love the stand, but didn't realize how dark it was, a walnut, as the image looks lighter, and ruined the light-med oak look of the living room
If lifted by any shelf, [the ONLY way to lift it], the stand will fail and come apart
I'm going to use t until it falls apart and then will try to find something similar but better wuality
But then again, it was only bought to replace a $25 generic TV stand that I had purchased over 10 years ago because the legs holding my new TV up are too far apart by only about an inch on each side (they are 38" apart and the top of that old stand is a little over 36" long), so that makes spending nearly 4 times that for this new stand all the more disappointing
Would have been 5 stars, except it loses 1 star for the difficulty in hanging the doors and tightening the door pulls.
The doors were to be hung in an area where there was no place to put the hinges
The instructions say not to use power tools, however if I ever needed to assemble another one of these I would definitely use a battery-powered screwdriver to hang the doors and tighten the door pulls.
1) the handles for each door are slightly off, with the right door handle being no more than half an inch lower than the one on the left
I always feel like I'm going to rip a door off when I open or close it because they are just so flimsy
Sauder warns that if the backing is not nailed in place as instructed, the unit could ultimately collapse.
This crappy Sauder junk cost almost 3x's as much and pulled apart as soon as it was pushed across pretty plush carpet less that 8.5 feet away
my only disappointment is Sauder apparently doesn't make coffee and side tables to match this style and finish
