The two side shelves have a limit of 15 pounds, the two center shelves have a weight limit of 20 and 15 pounds; while the entire bottom shelf can hold 30 pounds

And my tv doesn't even come close to the weight limits of this stand, so that's also a plus.

I don't trust the weight limits that the manufacturer puts on the shelves.

I used it to stand on for a few minutes to hang a picture before putting my TV there, and weigh about 190lbs, which is 100 pounds over the weight limit described.

I ordered 6 of these units as an alternative to built-in shelving for a room we are using as a library.3 out of the 6 units we received had a damaged "M" piece -- that's the rounded molding on either side of the open shelves
