I also scrubbier his whole cage with dawn dish soap and hot water

This stuff is so effective, you can see the dead mites dropping off after you spray them

Anyway, to anyone else with pet chickens wondering if they should get this: I would recommend this product based on its effectiveness, but it might be best to order one specifically for chickens.

I had breathing trouble for several days after not using an adequate breathing mask

So just take precautions - use a good mask or hold your breath until you can get out of the area.

The macaws are in a large flight cage and the Scalex spray bottle was not powerful enough to reach them at a distance.

but I do use it to clean the cages and nest of my finches.

I got much better results from cleaning cages with 91% isopropyl alcohol (repeatedly).

This spray kills the mites instantly and you can spray it right on the gerbils and clean the cages with it.

I tried cleaning out their cages, but that didn't work

I took everything out of their cage and scrubbed it down, then misted the empty cage
