Then the adhesive lost its hold after the first "hot" day of spring/summer in the PNW.I did everything possible to clean and prepare the area as instructed, but it seems that this really does need a glossy flat surface with NO amount of texture to stick over time
They hold really good, i had a Honda Civic slammed to the ground and had really stiff suspension, and these hold great
If held vertically, the mount fails and drops my phone
The hold looks great and seems to be a good magnet, but the adhesive just doesn’t want to stick to my dash.

This works extremely well, fastens securely with the adhesive and has a great magnet with lots of adjustments
2 stars because the magnet works great, but the entire thing fell off every time I tried to mount my phone to it in the car, if not immediately then after 5-10 minutes of driving
The mount adhesive works great on certain surfaces and the magnet system to hold the phone to the mount is excellent.
If the replacement adhesive works to stick on a dash at an angle then the mount will be great.
The sticky worked great as I followed the instructions and left it unused for a full 24 hours before using it with my phone

This item was terrible and the adhesive didn’t stick at all
For the most part this item works as advertised but frustrating when my phone falls off
The magnet seems to be of decent quality as does the mount itself however the adhesive tape on the bottom of the mount that is used to secure this item is completely garbage waste that doesn’t adhere to anything rendering this product utterly useless

In my opinion it is better than sticking a suction cup to your windshield and better than hooking it up to your AC especially when it doesn't fit on your
After trying several suction cup mounts that failed, I found the Scosche rear-view mirror mount works best for my phone.
but I know from past experience the suction cup ones tend to fall off
An added benefit is the A/C or the air from the vent keeps the phone cool when you are using GPS app
The suction cup stuck to my dash for a week before it fell off and wouldn't re-stick properly even with cleaning it and my dash again

I had to get better sticky tape, however, the magnet is super strong.
Within the first day of use the sticky tape was not able to hold the phone, the second day the magnet adhesive that sticks to the back of the phone was coming off too, I would not recommend this kind of mount
If you are mounting it to a textured surface, try it, but expect to peel it off and use a better adhesive tape
The moment I took out the phone mount I noticed there was a gap between the red protective tape and the adhesive part

It doesnt stick at all, I also tried put the transparent sticker in the back of My phone before putting in the metal plate
this product stuck on about as good as a sticker that has been used about 20 times
After a hot Texas summer the sticker will lose its ability to stay but an easy fix with some super glue if you don't mind mounting to your dash.
Peeled the sticker off the adhesive, bent the edges like instructed and placed the mount- both have fallen off within 24 hours, without actually being able to put the phone on
The sticker fell off my dashboard along with my iPhone and now this doesn’t stick again.

Only complaint I have is the magnetic adhesion is not as strong as I though this product would have
as others have mentioned, that vent mount goes in *tight* and has two different orientations for "large" and "small" vent fins
Also since it is taoe mounted no more broken vent fins
Coming from a car where I used the traditional vent and magnet mount, the Universal Mount fit the bill for my car with awkward/flimsy vent fins to clip onto

Occasionally I will grab my phone from the mount on the vent clip and the whole base comes with my phone
I tried a variety of styles-- the vent clip-phone clip option wiggled around too much, and the magnetic vent clip wasn't strong enough and also wiggled around too much
I am returning this because I ordered the Scosche vent clip to replace it - that one works like a charm!
Suction cups, vent clip, nothing stays or keeps my phone attached
Recommended vent clip instead of this product if you also have a textured dash.
