I thought that I was getting a good price on tape, but instead it was just a rip-off.
We go through a lot of packing tape and this is a good price for 6 rolls
it is actually a very good price (right now at around 4 per roll).
Worth the price (although I should have checked Costco).
Best on the market, Little expensive but best price here on Amazon

If you are looking for no nonsense tape for packing and/or shipping, you should buy the Scotch #3850 and just bypass all the rest
Hands down the best shipping tape, I have used many brands.
I like it for securing shipping labels to packages, attaches and protects the label.

I use a lot of shipping tape and love the quality of the Scotch brand heavy Duty tape.

Not worth the money thought it would be a better product but was worse!!
excellent quality 3m product, not cheap, but strong and sturdy, sticks well, better performance than alternatives.

We have boxes with this HD tape which has held for years, whereas some of the cheap stuff came off in mere days during the move
It was a chore getting the cheap stuff to feed into a dispenser
I use the cheap (it's usually thin, with poor adhesion) stuff and use lots of it
This stuff is much stronger, if just feels better going on the
this is not that thin delicate stuff that tears in all sorts of ways as you try to use it.

I read the negative reviews for this tape but since they were several months old, and the 3M company representative had responded to them, I took a leap of faith and hoped that Amazon's stock had been replaced and the problem resolved

The extra cost of purchasing Scotch brand over everything else is to insuring that you don't have boxes ripping open / sticky residue left on your furniture
