Black Sharpies show up very clearly on the bright green, making labels easy to read from afar, unlike the dark blue tape, which is too dark for proper labeling.

Using a straight edge and moving along the edge was recommended over using tape, but after trying that on a seldom-viewed frame, I can say two things: damned slow going, and paint bleed as soon as you move the straight edge
