Loudness is one of the few redeeming qualities this alarm has got going.

the extra features with the timer is nice if you want to sleep for four (x) hours six or eight you can set it accordingly.

If you sleep like the dead (as I often do) this will scare you back to life (and if you're in a hotel it will wake your dead neighbors).

I will put it this way; a smoke alarm is 85db, and the screamin meanie is 120 db

I wake up to my phone alarm, check the Screaming Meanie and the alarm set itself to 12:58 pm

Very easy to use, a slider to pick from setting alarm and clock, set the alarm and clock by holding the key button, then after setting the alarm hit the key button and arrow at the same time.

It's pretty simple, couple buttons, easy to set time and alarm ( all instructions are writtten on the back of the alarm )

Not saying that its terrible it just needs more buttons to make it more effective.

The little LCD screen will illuminate like an Indiglo watch dial when you press the top button, but the battery test light is so bright I can't ever make out the information on the screen.

If the manufacturer reads for feedback, I suggest to make more difficult switching the button for the volume from high to low.

My son has had difficulty all his life--getting up in the morning.

Even though his manager and his co assistant managers all are often late as well, My son suffers from post traumatic brain injury he has hard time falling asleep to get that deep rim sleep

It has conditioned my lazy son to wake up when his regular alarm goes off so he doesn't have to endure the pain

but currently we have no other options and cannot find anything currently better than this thank you Shutting off the alarm you have to hold the key button and simultaneously push the hour and minute buttons, remember the alarm will go off 10 minutes than five minutes prior to the alarm hour, pre-alarm cannot be shut off but when it sounds you just press the key button once sleep feature and in five minutes press the key button again and then to shut the final alarm off again

It works very well, although I would make it a little easier to turn off (currently you need to press three buttons at the same time) and it would work better for my uses if the 5 minute and 10 minute warnings would automatically turn off like some of the other times I have used in the past.

This futility lasts no more than 5 minutes before the Meanie wakens me once and for all because it cannot be silenced

So now I set the alarm ahead around 20 minutes so it will alarm around the right time

The pre-alarm goes off 10 and 5 minutes before the real alarm
