The Original Stainless Steel Double Wall Electric Kettle. This Hot Water Electric Kettle comes with 100% Stainless Steel Interior. Stainless Steel pot, Stainless Steel Lid, Stainless Steel Spout, Stainless Steel Rim. NO plastic in conta...
I love the stainless steel design, but it was rusted after 1 year
The design of the lid is really terrible because it messes up the aesthetic of this beautiful kettle
I really liked the design and the all stainless steel inside but the lid to the kettle is attached via plastic that piece snapped after regular daily use
I chose this kettle because of its stainless steel construction, modern design, and reasonable price
I don't understand 2 critical design elements, and after only 3 days of use this is why I will be returning:1) inside there is a ~.5-1cm hole that leads to the gap between inner and outer layers (close to the top where the lid is hinged)
This is a beautiful tea kettle that works beautifully as well
I like tea a lot but lacked an easy way to make it at work beyond warming up a cup of water in the microwave
I keep a Yeti stainless bottle filled with cold water, hot tea, hot coffee, etc. on a daily basis, and I often leave it with water in it overnight.
This is a beautiful tea kettle that works beautifully as well
Large enough to fill a tea pot, quick boiling, no plastic or silicone inside (which typically means you can't have an external water viewer), sturdy and attractive or fun looking
The stainless steel interior looks to be of a good gauge and quality
Originally I was looking for a variable temperature model, but after looking at the limited offerings and their quality, this Secura kettle looked like a better fit
rust hole inside the stainless less than 3 weeks of use, poor quality
Make sure to use quality coarse ground coffee like Stone Street Coffee Cold Brew Reserve Colombian Single Origin Coarsely Ground Coffee - 1 lb
There are a couple signs that the quality is a bit lacking:One concern is that the power cord gets pretty warm to the touch, which suggests it's not sufficiently rated for the amount of electricity running through it
still had a lingering stainless steel taste in the water until after the fifth pot or so.2
It has a metal interior to the top, as well as being metal all around the interior, so we don't have to worry about chemicals from plastics leaching into the water
Got this Secura 8 months ago and it is still working as though it were new.
I like it so much that I probably won't bother with the expensive replacement of the former again, because it not only heats water quickly--the stainless steel interior is preferable over the plastic rubber tank of the dispenser, which always had a foul taste.
But guess what, that weird taste is worse than the plastic ones
chose it because of the all-stainless interior, thought i would miss the see-thru nature of plastic ones but haven't missed that even a tiny bit.
I think it should be a bit stronger like 2000W - 3000W instead of the 1500W because its takes time to heat the water.
Once done I let it sit for 30 seconds to allow the water temperature to cool down a bit to around 200 degrees (the ideal water temperature for brewing coffee).
The only minor issue is that, when the water starts boiling, the whole kettle shakes a bit, nothing to be worried
Only SLIGHT issue i have is it takes a bit longer to boil than other kettles
It took 2 min and 4 seconds (exactly the same on multiple tests) to bring the water to a complete rolling boil while the 1000 watt microwave took 2 minutes and 40 seconds.
Highly efficient, it takes just few (possibly 2-3) minutes to bring the water to a rolling boil
Beautifully made, easy to clean, heats to a rolling boil quickly
Filling the pot to the Max line the Secura took exactly (to the second) 7 minutes to full rolling boil.
Heats up water really REALLY quickly to a rolling boil.
I liked this kettle a lot initially, we make lots of tea and use it regularly, but recently a rust spot has developed, disappointed.
Everything worked well in the beginning, until 3 months later, a rusty spot developed inside where the lid is attached
It works well initially, and then we observed a ring of rust developed on the bottom and internal wall of stainless steal
However, the truth is that you get what you pay for, and I'm guessing that for $29 I shouldn't have expected much, but I'm still sad that the kettle started developing rust spots at the bottom of the kettle (where water sits) within a couple of days and only a few uses
Don't waste your time buying this unless you're fine with rust developing on the kettle fairly fast
