I received this as a Christmas gift, the first use the reflective plastic over the lights fell off

The plastic above the latch broke off on the first use.

The ball joint that rotates the griddle is super cheap plastic

Then the cheap plastic base fell off and the ball that allows it to flip would not go back in place, making it impossible to use

It is large and bulky with cheap plastic, and does not properly close - you have to push the top back about 1mm until it lines up with the bottom, then close a thin wire clip to keep it closed.

There is way too much cheap plastic on this waffle

My only complaint is the base is cheap plastic vs the rest of the sturdy maker.

The plastic that holds the plates together fell off and the wires are showing

I bought a month ago and used 3-5 times, I could smell plastic was burning from beginning

Cheap plastic construction

It's cheap quality plastics, cheap electronics (umm.. hello, fire danger!), and just a really poor design.

The whole thing is creaky and weak feeling and the buttons feel like they are just as likely to break as they are to work

Trying to clean it thoroughly but also gently enough as to not get any water inside and damage the electronics.

n’t panic when the factory applied coating burns off when you first plug it
