+great hdmi hd display + highly improved wireless controllers-does not play all carts+has old master system games too, including phantasy star 1!-missing echo and streets of rage games that were in earlier flashback releases+better value than nes/super nes mini-bonus share ware games are horrid and need to not be included
Awesome HD games on Sega Genesis, I do not have cartridges
The HD is not worth mentioning because you cannot make a 1992 cartridge look better than SD.
If you still have your original Sega Genesis you really don't need it unless you want the HD upgrade and convenient HDMI connection to modern HD displays.

when he got the Super NES, along with Super Mario World as his birthday gift from his parents

I bought the NES Classic, SNES Classic and the Sega Flashback all at the same time
As a young kid I definitely remember when the Super NES came out
Then I learned that a few more of my friends had gotten their Super NES, making me feel slightly envious, but actually knowing that I didn’t have the need for one

And I tried Mortal Kombar 2, the sound and music quality is garbage
Set up is a snap, and the overall quality is pretty impressive, especially for the cost
Quality of the system from the surface already looks like cheap crappy material
The controllers are pretty decent quality, but the fact that you can use your own genesis controllers as well make it great
The system build quality looks great as well and has played every game flawlessly except for the "6-pak" collection cartridge which loads the menu but not the individual games
For $59 this unit is absolutely worth it; a great selection of classic Genesis titles, with a smattering of Game Gear and Master System titles as a bonus
Ignore the bad reveiws, shift expectations and appreciate this for what it is: a budget device to play a selection of great Genesis games!Oh, the save state and rewind functions are really nice too.
The sound issues of previous versions have been corrected now!Still recommend for those who aren’t purists or those looking for a perfect Genesis clone.
Honestly, I figured I'd end up buying replacement controllers, as this system will use classic genesis controllers and have never felt the need
The Sega Genesis Flashback HD has some real problems
Packed with 66 great original Sega games (with 19 bonus games from AtGames), instead of only 21 games, including the lame and over-hyped gimmick
The Sega 6-pak did not work
It does not allow for connection to Sega CD, Powerbase Converter (master system conversion kit for the the Genesis 1&2) or the 32X.Overall, this system is pretty darn good if you are a Sega fanboy like myself, and I have been playing lots of NHL 97 on it since I got my own machine a little over a week ago as of this writing.
It comes loaded with 85 games and there are lots of familiar favorites like Altered Beast, Golden Axe 1 & 2, Shinobi III, Mortal Kombat and the Sonic the Hedgehog series and others including a few first generation Sega Master System and Game Gear games.
The shipping box said sega genesis classic but the product was an Atari
As for the complaint that the system feels cheap, it is light weight but the quality feels absolutely fine and the design is a through back to the first Genesis console
While this system is not perfect, it is very much a great improvement from the previous At Games Genesis/Mega Drive systems
System works despite feeling like a feather (very light)
Don't listen to the complainers this system sounds great and has no lag
I think the system had some bugs at launch but ATGames fixed them from what I read online
The game selection is solid, even without the Streets of Rage series, and AT Games has made some other products that I enjoy, like their Atari Flashback ports for the Playstation 4, which run flawlessly and have digital versions of the manuals and box art
The seller must have been hoping that they could offload this defective product and a
Great Product presentation, packaged securely in the box.
This product was reprehensible, I want my money back.
good console, Works perfectly in tv of new generations, and play cartridges without input lag
This is a great game Console, it comes with four controllers 2 wired 2 wireless
Overall it's still a great Console, just wish it played Mega Drive Games
Some recommendations I have for those who purchased are to turn on 6 button option in games where possible, turn on your tv gaming mode to rid any lag (even newer consoles have this issue), and read the controls in the descriptions of the games on screen.
It's also good for people starting out with the Genesis who want a console that works great on a HDTV
The wireless controllers work and feel great, they actually feel better than the Hyperkin ones which were my favorite up until now
Great console all games built in work and load up quickly , the menu screen is difficult to maneuver but other than that I love the wireless controllers and its also very cool that you can use your old genessis cartridges, highly recommended for anyone who was gaming in the 90s
The controllers aren't horrible, and the lag is not too bad, but everything does feel clunky and cheap
Some down sides are the wireless controllers aren’t great, not compatible with other Genesis hardware (Powerbase converter, 32x, Sega CD)
The game selection is good, but the workmanship of the product is very cheap (especially the controllers, which are super light and do not resemble the originals at all in feel).
