This is very disappointing, I had to order a new remote separately because I needed the tripod itself in a few days and didn't want to go through the hassle of returning the whole thing for a new remote and possibly missing the event I needed the tripod for.

It doesn't work all that great as a selfie stick; I don't have big hands, so I can't keep a very firm grip on the handle (which is a bit wide)
