Wish it would support a couple more for when I have company over we all would be able to hear and not have to worry about having a surround system that disturbs the neighbors.
Bass is very powerful and can be deactivated, as well as the surround sound
Bass is great for music or movies as well as the surround sound effects
There is a bass boost switch as well as surround sound option on the base and the headphones.
I believe the item was returned because the original purchaser got frustrated as to set up since some fiddling with tv sound source is needed and on the Samsung the correct setting is in a level two menu in the advanced sound settings.

Great sound, decent bass response and surround effects, but I wish there were more control over them
Very clear, with excellent additional bass and surround sound buttons on headset.
Bass and Surround buttons on the headphones themselves are pretty useless, and do sometimes get in the way, when trying to change volume
Other than that the setup is easy and the clarity is excellent.
n’t end up losing my hearing when she has to put the tv on full blast

so I don"t bother the neighbors
The surround sound is great watching movies and the clarity is amazing.
(maybe):The 175 set is only capable of employing two headsets
We have had two sets of Sony for years that I thought were good, but this set of Sennheiser RS 175 is super
Would recommend this set of headphones to all that are looking to purchase headphones.
I had found my previous set uncomfortable to wear, pretty much from the start, and they became progressively more uncomfortable the longer they were worn
n’t end up losing my hearing when she has to put the tv on full blast
Reason for two stars, expensive and can not make it work with my Samsung smart tv even by attempting to follow advice left by others concerning this problem
But that's the only semi-negative, and it's not enough to even knock off a star
so I'm only knocking off half a star from these otherwise near-perfect headphones
The sound quality of these headphones are crisp, clear and loud or quiet as you need them to be
I think when you see so many good reviews, one tends to ignore that One star
The audio is clear and there is absolutely no static or background noise
The headphones look splendid, feel like a premium product, and sound good (on occasion).Sadly their poor performance with the analog cable and the surround feature are too much to pass, since Sennheiser advertise this headphones as as being static noise free
I will let the headphones finish charging and see if anything improves (which i hope), if nothing improves i will be returning these on Tuesday at the latest and will be getting the RF 185

Fantastic!I've been using Sennheiser wireless headphones for about ten years
The first three defective ones don't even rate one star!I liked the Sony design a lot better than the Sennheiser's, but sadly Sony discontinued that part number
the headphones on the cheaper Sennheiser and Sony would eventually just cut out.
I have upscale SONY headphones and an old AR pair neither of which has this issue and cost half off what I paid for this unit.
We bought much less expensive Sony headphones and don't have problems using 2 sets of headphones to listen to the same audio source.
We got these to replace a pair of Sony wireless which fell apart after 1.5
