I tried going online to the Serene Innovations website, but couldn't find an answer
I returned this item and found and bought the Simolio digital wireless tv speaker that comes with optical adaptor built in...it was the same price as Serene Innovations model which requires the additional $30 adaptor
I will be calling Serene Innovations on Monday to find out how to return the product.
I need to take the last installation option which, to quote their instructions is: "If no solutions listed are ideal for your TV, connect the TV SoundBox to your TV with an external microphone provided by Serene Innovations, at no charge, upon your request
When I contacted Serene Innovations to get new cords sent, they told me I would have to buy them and sent me a link to purchase

She cannot hear from her right ear and her left ear is diminished.
We put the speaker by his good ear and he can hear everything
This speaker has quieted our house greatly and has helped protect our ears!!
She had the volume at a very normal level a few feet from her good ear and could hear everything including dialog with no problems.

Works great--helps the hearing impaired while giving the rest of the family a better volume in the house.
Volume quit working and it has only been 5 month’s
I like that you can adjust the tone as well as the volume on the speaker.

So, imagine my surprise (and delight) when my Mom, notoriously hard to please that she is, was very happy with it, says it works perfectly, and that she is finally able to hear the TV, understand what's being said, and enjoy watching again.
Sound is much better when watching tv.
Mom can hear dialog now, and that makes watching shows more enjoyable

Sound is good on network TV, but I haven't been able to figure out how to her my Steaming Channels yet...
I am able to make it work using digital cable, but the sound is not NEARLY as loud as it should be.
This wireless TV speaker was easy to connect, and has a great sound.
This product did improve the sound from my TV which is small and thus shortchanged on speaker quality and I can now actually make out most of the dialogue.
It can boost sounds that are loud or moderate, but for truly quiet scenes, it "helps" me by cutting out so it can save battery, despite the fact it is perpetually plugged in by my bedside
