Great sound & quality.

But the sound quality is excellent, especially when I record digitally live at some concerts.

Newer models from Sony and Sharp have newer versions of the algorithm which supposedly results in better recording quality, though I cannot comment on the accuracy of this.

I think others have addressed the quality of minidiscs well...the quality is great, and it's a lot cheaper than having memory cards for a MP3 player

The remote is a real nice feature, this allows you to have the player itself in a backpack or bag, and use the remote on the headphone cord to handle the volume and skip forward or back

I decided to take the plunge into Minidisc by buying this unit - the price was right and the features on this guy were impressive

nice features sounds good , unfortunately it died after 4 months of heavy use

If you can afford it, I HIGHLY recommend the SONY MDX-65 MD changer for your car.

My recommendations are to not buy ANY Sharp products.

This is a good thing for quality of reproduction but it also makes it more susceptible to clipping, so in other words you can push the 702 a little harder.

First place i went was the official sharp web site and things looked good

The worst thing is that you can't listen to music and enter the track name at the same time

The Optical Digital Input included in this has unbelievable sound

I still gave the 702 4 stars because it's really easy to record, it has great sound, and it's at a convinient price

But this minidisk player with the right adapter can hold unlimited Mp3 music with great sound

After the UTOC error, I got it replaced and within ONE MONTH, I got the same error!

I never had an error and I believe that anyone that got the UTOC error was in the very small minority.

Then i came here and sure enough there were tales of the "UTOC error" and stuff
