This compass is definitely lovely to hold and look at, but as far as using it for camping/hiking

It is very well made with a handy clip to attach to any clothing, also has a wrist cord for easy use.

With words like "best" and "survival" in the header, you would think this would be a hard use and high quality piece

I bought 2 of these for gifts and had them both engraved, beautiful and great price point.

Its ok, looks to be metal in the photo, but is all plastic, does not glow as bright as displayed but works.

Position the needle/arrow between the glowing dots and that is definitely north.

My only complaint is that the glow-in-the-dark paint dots inside of mine are kind of messy

but I'd say the metal (especially the lid, little metal ring for attachment and hinge) seems a bit cheap and flimsy
