For solid, 14 gauge works but just barely, the wires still move around too easily when the screws are tight to the point of the heads stripping

The Hook Up" channel on YouTube has a great video comparing the Shelly with the Sonoff Basic, and in that video he instructs viewers how to install the Shelly.
