It's small and compact, its easy to use and modify, fits virtually any neck shape, and adjusts its tension in a precise way.
right where you like it (though, honestly, the way these clamp, if the tension is off a bit, it still sounds great!).I'd say this is the most inexpensive 'decent for a pro musician' capo there is
The Shubb will not get in the way of your hand and is, as they say, fully adjustable in tension
There is less chance of pulling strings out of tune because of the available adjustment and the way it clamps on ( more similar to the index finger)
Nice, very nice.......love the way you can micro adjust it
I love the adjustable tension which is so key to staying in tune.
I like the tension adjustable feature. very good for the price!
The tension needs to be set properly before use (I made the mistake of setting the tension too weak on the capo, which made the high E not ring out correctly)5.
Works great every time with adjustable tension based on your guitar and tone needs
Still have a little trouble getting that low 'E' to ring no matter which capo I use.
The design of this capo required you to constantly fiddle with the tension in order to get it to fit correctly while never quite fretting the high E correctly
It can hold just enough pressure to work as a great capo without pulling me out of tune
Still have a little trouble getting that low 'E' to ring no matter which capo I use.
Applies easy pressure to deliver great sound without buzz.
If I increase the pressure enough to remove string buzz from the high E string, then the Low E string is out of tune

This is a solid, stainless steel capo, easy to adjust and apply on the neck of the guitar

I decided that I wanted to dress up my performance look with this stainless steel version
I play exclusively fingerstyle and its design was cramping my space.
It does what it is suppose to do and is fairly well designed
Even though it takes two hands to install, I feel the design is superior because it can be adjusted.
This design is probably my favorite of the three I use with one and only one drawback
The design of this capo required you to constantly fiddle with the tension in order to get it to fit correctly while never quite fretting the high E correctly
The design also struggles to fit on the neck of my guitar (a shallow C shape) and would likely scratch the neck if your not extremely careful
Thank you Shubb for making the best capos I've ever used!
I now recommend Shubb capos absolutely, especially if you perform in any capacity as now you won't have to buy time between songs just to tune up.
But Shubb makes great capos, and this one works flawlessly
I used one of those big, clunky spring/clamp capos for years and just now wanted to find a smaller one, that wouldn't get in the way of my fingers while playing
It works exactly as it is supposed to, with just the right amount of pressure on the strings.
Until they come up with an affordable one that gets *completely* out of my way (all capos seems to bug my fret hand, to an extent, when I'm playing certain standard chords, as I end up right up against it), this is what I'll be using, practice, stage, recording.
It's tiny, even smaller than the mandolinist's capo in our band, and it doesn't rub my fretting hand at all
The Fender is plastic and it works fine on my electrics but not as well as on my acoustic.
Also, very minimal in size, and stays well out of the way of my fretting hand
