why: the actual knob is really great quality, it's the battery and electrical mechanism that sucks

The only downside to the product is that the buttons do "beep" as you push down on them and makes a small buzz noise upon entering the correct code.

Instead I can make up a code and if things go south I can easily erase it

I was also able to program new master and user codes and get confirmation beeps as expected during programming and on entering a correct user code

and then I can erase that code

This knob failed within 1 year and it was used on an exterior door that is in an overhang, so no direct weather

Did not work , I can program the knob but it does not actuate mechanically

I had to use a pipe wrench to twist the knob past the stops and open the door.

I actually received my item with corroded batteries, corroded battery pack, No Manual, and did not work after multiple solutions and testing with jump pack

They had thrown 4 AAA batteries in the box I guess to make up for all the other missing items

The only reason I knocked one star off is that it seems to be very susceptible to water intrusion, even though they say it can be used on an exterior entry door

Once installed (which isn't easy) the front buttons have never worked unless I plug the backup battery pack into the front which makes me believe there is faulty wiring from the front numbers panel to the battery pack in the back of the handle

Stop working then charge the battery !week later stop working and saw wire is broke
